Anyone can now apply for a LINK plan, regardless of age, health and medical situation. Coverage that you can count on is guaranteed for life.
If you answer “Yes” to any of the following questions then a LINK plan might be for you:
- Are you self employed with a medical condition?
- Are you retiring and losing your health and dental coverage?
- Has it been a while since you had benefits?
- Does your current employer not offer benefits?
- Is your current individual health plan inadequate?
- Does your health plan not cover a pre-existing condition?
LINK plans are designed for people losing their employee benefits and as such have advantages many people do not qualify for. Starting December 11, 2025 (and for a limited time) they are available to anyone looking for comprehensive, personal health insurance. Once you are enrolled your plan is with you for life as long as you keep up with premium payments.
All LINK plans include coverage for (but not limited to):
- Prescription drugs
- Vision care
- Registered specialists and therapists
- Emergency medical travel insurance
- Semi-private or private hospital accommodations
There are actually 4 different LINK plans to meet your needs and budget, ranging from basic to more extensive coverage (from Standard to Elite).
